History: Origin

Even though [TFA] is new in this name and form, the core of the founding members had a history together.
The beginning of this history started at a flight simulator squad called =RvE=, Reservoirs virtual Elites.
Active on flight Sims of which mostly on a game called Lock-On by Ubisoft, a combat flight simulator based around the cold war period.

Here is where we got our tactical background which provided the base of our ways of operating throughout the various games we played since then.
Not necessarily from that squad but by being used using tactics and strategy due the nature of the environment.

We eventually parted from =RvE= because some people were doing some pretty crazy stuff, that had nothing to do with having fun with each other.

From there we became the Frag-Addicts – a group formed by some newly joined =RvE= members who were active on bf2.

After almost 2 years though, 1 of the founding members of Frag-Addicts disappeared off the face of the earth and the CO (the other founding member) went mad and basically started playing with another team.
Eventually he closed down Frag-Addicts, after trying to make us pay for the name and domain.

At that point we decided to found our own community where we would make sure things like this would never happen again.
[TFA] Tactical Frag-Addicts was established on 25th October 2008, with the goal of establishing an environment where members treat each other with respect, have fun together and make new friends that share at least 1 common passion (Gaming).

During our first year we gradually progressed on establishing a firm structure which will last for the years to come and which will become our virtual base where we can have fun gaming together and make friends from all over the world, regardless of ones personal preferences for games.

We embrace our past experiences, even the negative ones we use as a lesson to what we don’t want to see in the future here.
Since the foundation of [TFA] we have ventured out on various games ranging from fps, to combat simulators and to the RPG /mmo genre.

Our main goal is to make sure everybody enjoys themselves here regardless of what game preference, with gamers that share that same preference in-game, and even with gamers from other games through the forums and Teamspeak.
All the members have 1 thing in common at least, that being their passion for tactical gaming and the pleasure it gives them.
As a group our main goal is to enjoy gaming in a next dimension based on tactical team play and teamwork to experience the games to their fullest capacity.
By sharing knowledge and experience we all will eventually get better then we ever could have on our own.

Also we aim to get more out of gaming then just the pleasure, as we are certain that we will continue gaming till we grow old.
For this reason [TFA] is structured in such a way that it is owned by its members so everybody will benefit of that in the future.

We do not have insane expectations, only things we are strict on are our rules and standards, because they are made to ensure the stability and progress of the community and protecting its members.
We do expect all our members to be familiar with the rules and standards and to respect them.

Further we expect our members to log on Teamspeak when gaming or looking for an chat to get to know each other and have fun together, and that the members log  on to xfire when gaming to make sure its easy to hook up with each other.
Our forums are one of our means of communicating and interacting with each other, so we do ask members to regularly check the forums to stay up to date.

Last but not least we expect members to follow directions if given by a more senior, or higher ranking member.
